Our Company

The company was established in 1976 by Jack Oldham.  Jack was a senior purchasing manager for one of the UKs largest textiles manufactures.

Jack was asked by a number of his friends,  if he could source cotton wipers for use in their  garages and engineering companies.

He used his knowledge gained from working within the textiles industry to source 100% cotton wipers.

He started the business part time working out of his garage in 1975,  before resigning his position and formed Jack Oldham Textiles Ltd in 1976.

He rented a small unit near his home in Glossop 1976.  He started  supplying local companies with industrial cleaning wiper cloths.  Jack expanded the business in 1980 and moved to larger premises in Glossop.  And  began suppling wiper cloths nationwide.

Jack retired in 1996 and the business was taken over by his Daughter Jillian and husband Stephen Cocksey.  Both had an extensive background within the textile industry. Stephen Cocksey is the current Managing Director.

Under Stephen management the company expanded in 2000 and moved to larger premises in Whaley Bridge, Derbyshire.

The company is nationally recognised as one of the UKs leading supplier of industrial cotton wiper cloths.

As a testament to our customer service, the customers that we supplied with wipers and polishing cloths in 1976 are still our customers today.

We have over 150 Tons of industrial Cleaning Wiper in stock at our warehouse in Derbyshire. All our wipers are 100% cotton and are manufactured from new material (Not from reclaimed clothing)

We stock a vast range of cotton wiper rags for virtually any wiping, cleaning and polishing application. All of our wipers are selected from first class quality cotton and are continually inspected for consistency. Each wiper is cut to a generous size to ensure that every wiper is usable, yet not too large to be wasteful.

If you are unsure of the type of wiper you require for your particular application, please contact our team and we will happily supply samples and discuss your exacting requirement.
